Knowledge management is a tool that drives organisations to achieve their goals. Therefore it should be aligned with the business strategy to reap benefits, knowledge is essential in strategic planning it provides up to date, quality intelligence which organisations are able to make decisions.

Hi, this is very informative, this has enlightened me so much knowledge is indeed an enormous power. Knowledge management is every organisation’s lifeblood without it organisations will collapse. Poor decisions will be taken because there will be based on assumptions sometimes people would have forgotten what was agreed who was supposed to do what and when. If knowledge is not managed properly people could walk away with valuable knowledge when they retire or die. Tacit knowledge resides in the head of the “knower” through mentoring, collaboration people are able to share valuable knowledge amongst colleagues.
